‘Helping for your tomorrow’ community action, Switzerland
In Hays Switzerland, like in other parts of the world, colleagues have been actively contributing to HFYT through three key initiatives. These efforts focused on empowering young people, supporting individuals with disabilities, and engaging in environmental action.
Collaborating with the charity ‘Pro Juventute Bewerbungstraining’ colleagues have been supporting young people, particularly those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, in preparing for the transition from school to apprenticeship. Hays volunteers conducted application and interview training and focused on practical skills to improve employability.
Focusing on disability inclusion, colleagues have also been supporting the ‘MyAbility Talent Programme’. This is to promote inclusion and career development for students and professionals with disabilities. Activities included: participating in a high-profile talent development programme, mentoring and providing guidance on job applications, interviews, and career planning.
With an additional focus on the environment, for ‘Clean-Up Day’ colleagues got involved in hands-on environmental action with events organised in Bern, Zurich, Basel, and Geneva. All in all, Hays Switzerland colleagues alone achieved more than 350 volunteering hours with more than 30% of employees involved and enjoyed the support of strong leadership engagement with Marc Lutz (Managing Director, Switzerland) and Paola Tonini (Head of Enterprise Solutions, Switzerland) participated in all three initiatives.
The HFYT initiatives in Switzerland have proven to be a powerful vehicle for social impact, employee engagement, and brand positioning. By aligning our efforts with our core business — connecting people with opportunities — colleagues are making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and the communities served.
