At the event, attendees heard presentations from Alistair Cox (Chief Executive Officer), Paul Venables (Group Finance Director) and senior management across the Hays Group. This included people running operational areas such as Enterprise Clients, Technology, Marketing and HR, as well as regional directors and country leaders from businesses including the UK, Germany, Australia, and the USA.
Alistair began the afternoon by setting out the dynamics and megatrends which are defining and shaping the new world of world and mean the world is now characterised by massive skills shortages in many areas. It is getting harder to find, and retain, the talent an organisation needs. Alistair framed how as a business whose very essence is to solve this skills mismatch, Hays is therefore working right at the heart of one of the world’s biggest economic issues today. Several case studies from across the business then demonstrated how these partnerships are being built and nurtured before we then laid out the financial potential of the business over the next five years, both in profit and cash terms. The event concluded with a drinks reception where delegates had the opportunity to meet some of the c.20 senior leaders of our business from around the world.
"Think of us now becoming the global company at the heart of so many organisations, helping them solve for all their talent issues and skilled workforce needs as long-term strategic partners."
