Local students at Anglia Ruskin University have beaten strong competition to win a top prize for construction students.
Sam Warren, Joe Evers and Jay Ali have won the prize for the best overall group poster and presentation for the undergraduate Project Management module. The group won for their project on the proposed Waitrose development on Victoria Road in Chelmsford city centre. Sam, Joe and Jay won as they worked excellently as a team, engaged throughout the module, and gave the best presentation on their project which led them to achieve the highest mark in the module.
The award, sponsored by Hays Construction & Property, recognises and rewards excellence in the field of Project Management. Hays Construction &Property recently attended a prizegiving ceremony at the University to present each of the deserving students with £50 in vouchers and a framed certificate.
Laura Kittle, Senior Recruitment Consultant at Hays Construction & Property, says: “The group’s project was a clear winner and I’m pleased to recognise their hard work throughout the year. The award is a small step in rewarding the next generation for their hard work. Not only is the award an opportunity to support students with their studies, it is also chance to help graduates explore the many employment opportunities that exist locally.”
