City of Melbourne has appointed Hays Talent Solutions as its new Managed Service Provision (MSP) supplier, effective yesterday (29th October 2018) for a five-year term.
The appointment follows a competitive selection process and will see Hays Talent Solutions manage the sourcing, engagement and administration of all City of Melbourne contract and temporary staff across all role categories.
Hays Talent Solutions staff will work onsite at City of Melbourne’s offices, supported by an offsite dedicated contract care centre. The MSP involves the payrolling of all contract and temporary workers, customised reporting and a full end-to-end vendor management system (VMS).
It replaces the incumbent MSP, which has been in place for 10 years. Approximately 320 existing contract and temporary workers have been transitioned across to the new service.
This contract is Hays Talent Solutions’ second major Australian City Council MSP, following the commencement of a MSP for City of Gold Coast in early 2016.
