A recruitment frenzy will grip China’s job market once the Chinese New Year holiday period concludes as businesses step up their digital transformation agenda and invest in technology that will enhance customer engagement and transform digital customer solutions, according to recruiting experts Hays.
China’s digital transformation in 2017 will be an irreversible trend with companies accelerating expansion in all areas of e-commerce and digital marketing. “Both foreign and domestic companies are now fully aware of the role digital marketing and e-commerce plays in the economy,” says Simon. “Digital marketing candidates with proven experience of developing compelling and engaging digital experiences will stand out, along with a candidate’s soft skills as this is an attribute which is proving to be a key differentiator in the selection process of equally qualified candidates.
The success of digital transformation can be determined by the capability of an organisation’s big data and analytic insight strategy. Simon adds, “Over the last year, we’ve seen how businesses go through growth cycles and manage disruption in the marketplace. We continue to see a rise in demand for roles such as customer insights, consumer marketing, customer analytics and customer experience as the upward trend of customer first and understanding the customer continues.”
