Hays relocates as Edinburgh office expands

10 August 2015

UK

Leading recruiting experts, Hays, has moved its Edinburgh operation into modern Grade A offices in Castle Street following continued growth, particularly within construction and property, IT, finance, banking and financial services.

The firm, previously based in Charlotte Square for 15 years, is planning to increase its head count to 90 consultants in the 7,000 square foot open-plan office which overlooks Edinburgh Castle.

Hays managing director in Scotland, Akash Marwaha, said: “The move was prompted by sustained growth in the Edinburgh area where, we’re delighted to say, markets are still buoyant.

“We’ve seen recruitment in construction and property increase significantly this year, and that’s likely to continue as many construction and engineering projects that were previously mothballed are now being dusted off and reinstated. And, as an international centre for finance, banking and financial services remain strong.

“The new office has allowed us to continue to invest in our Edinburgh set up and, with plans to recruit another 15 consultants immediately, we hope to get to full capacity of 90 in the not too distant future. The new office is in a fantastic location with great views and who wouldn’t feel motivated at work when they look out at the spectacular view of Edinburgh Castle?

“We‘ve now relocated and moved into bigger offices in all five of our Scotland locations within the last 18 months in Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness and Glasgow. Edinburgh was the final piece of the jigsaw.”

Hays’ business specialisms in the new office include Accountancy and Finance, IT, Construction & Property, Engineering, Finance Technology, Human Resources, Insurance and Financial Services, and Social Housing.
