Following a two year partnership with The Brain Tumour Charity, Hays, the leading recruiting expert, has raised over £200,000 to fund a new centre of excellence and vital research for the UK’s leading charity dedicated to fighting this devastating disease.
During the second year of the partnership, Hays staff tackled the four elements in a weekend of challenges, abseiled down cliff faces and even raised £30,000 racing their clients around the Olympic velodrome. Competitive spirit was out in force at charity netball and football tournaments across the country, while quiz nights and local events with friends, family and customers added valuable funds to the £200,000 total.
Nigel Heap, Managing Director, Hays UK & Ireland, commented on the success of the partnership: “Our employees have outdone themselves in their fundraising efforts during this partnership with The Brain Tumour Charity, going the extra mile to surpass our initial target of £100,000 and end our partnership with a fundraising total of over £200,000.
