At Hays we serve thousands of clients every day, providing temporary and permanent staff. Our client base is extensive and covers large corporate, multinational organisations, retailers, construction companies, the professional services, across the whole spectrum of employment in the UK.

A large proportion of our client business is based on specialist local demand - many of our clients are small and medium-sized enterprises requiring professional candidates in local and regional markets. With over 200 offices in the UK and over 130 more around the world, we are located in the places where our clients do business everyday, a benefit to our clients and to the candidates we serve.

A further important area of our client base is to be found in the public services arena. Our understanding of the unique needs of public services has created lasting partnerships with employers across central and local government, housing, health, education, as well as charities and other voluntary organisations.

We provide recruitment services across a range of 17 industry sectors, or specialisms as we refer to them, from Accounting & Finance, Construction & Property and IT to Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical and Resources and Mining. We are a global business and currently have operations across 28 countries with approximately 50% of our total business from outside of the UK & Ireland. We see huge potential in the international specialist recruitment market and we aim to build the pre-eminent global business in specialist recruitment.
